Remote Control Function and How to Use It

After installing HomeWhiz, Wi-Fi will turn on automatically. To enable or disable Wi-Fi, please see the section “Wi-Fi”.

If you turn your washing machine off and on again while Wi-Fi is on, it will reconnect automatically. In situations such as changing the network password or turning off the modem, Wi-Fi will turn itself off automatically. Therefore, if you want to use the Remote Control function, you need to turn the Wi-Fi back on.

You can monitor your connection status by checking the Wi-Fi symbol on the screen. If the symbol is lit steadily, you have an Internet connection. If the symbol is blinking, a connection is being attempted. If the symbol is not lit, it means you have no connection.

When your product's Wi-Fi connection is off, you can activate both the network connection and the Remote Control function simultaneously by pressing the Remote Control button.

If you cannot select the Remote Control function remotely, check the connection status. If a connection cannot be established, repeat the initial setup settings through the product.

If you want to remotely turn off your washing machine, you need to activate the Remote Control function by pressing the Remote Control button on the control panel.

While Remote Control is active, you can start a programme and continue making selections directly on the washing machine. Through the app you can perform all operations except child lock.

You can monitor whether the Remote Control function is on or off remotely using the function indicator on the screen.

If the Remote Control function is disabled, all operations are performed via the washing machine; only status monitoring is allowed via the app.

Having the Wi-Fi setting turned off or the product door being open will prevent the Remote Control function from being activated.

When you activate this function on your washing machine, it remains active except under certain function circumstances. Also, it allows you to control your washing machine via the Internet, regardless of location, whether your washing machine is on or off.
